“EXCUSES”
So many are lost because in youth they are “too young”; in manhood, “too busy”; in maturity, “too worried”; in old age, “too old”; in sickness, “too ill”, and in death, “TOO LATE”
Seek the Lord’s word and strive to not let any of these excuses delay you. Maybe the results of not following God with direct you in the right direction. The story of the Prodigal son shows this.
Luk 15:20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. :21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. :22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: :23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: :24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
Psalm 119:176 ¶ I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.
Lu 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Share the word of God with others.
2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

David prays to God. “ Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness “. (Psa 119:159)
Love is the greatest thought and emotion that can be expressed. Every body wants to be loved. Babies do not survive without love.
Use God’s loving gifts to you and yours to share with others, this helps you to grow and them to get inspiration and progress in their spiritual life.
Jesus explains; Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; :45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. :46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
Mr 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Heb 5:12)
2Co 7:1 ¶ Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Ga 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Tit 1:1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; 2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. (Luke 15:24)
The prodigal son shows an example of backsliding as is the tendency of our human nature. His father shows us an example of love and forgiveness of how God is always there for us.
We have warnings in the Bible of results of backsliding.
1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
There is a cure for backsliding!
Act 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Act 8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)
The Lord said: Mt 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
There appears to be no limitation to this statement. In other words, shining forth a good example is not restricted to the church building, to Sunday Worship Services, or when you are around church folks. Truth be told, where it’s most important to let your light shine is at home, on the job, at school, and even on social media sites. True Christianity radiates from within and is on display everywhere and all the time.
2Co 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
Christianity should make a difference in the conscientiousness of our work, and in the courtesy with which we serve the public, and in the consideration with which we live within our own homes. Christianity is a full time job. Nothing is more contagious than an example. “What kind of example are you setting?

NEVER ACCEPT SIN LIGHTLY. SIN IS HIGH TREASON
AGAINST THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE.
Jas 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
Ps 119:11 ¶ Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Pr 10:19 ¶ In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
Mt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Ro 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
o 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Ro 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Ro 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

“HE GIVETH POWER TO THE FAINT; AND TO THEM THAT HAVE NO MIGHT HE INCREASETH STRENGTH (Isaiah 40:29)
God is our comfort: 2Co 1:3 ¶ Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; :4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Eph 6:22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
God our counselor: Isa 40:13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? :14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. :14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
The everlasting God, our creator is intimately acquainted with the wants and desires of His people, and He gives power and strength to them, both young and old.

But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. (Psalm 4:3)
Godliness is possible--2Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Godliness is attained by--Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
